Das Wohlpreparierte Klavier II (2019/2023)

The ‘dance version’ of Das Wohlpreparierte Klavier I (2009). A series of relatively easy, ring-modulated pieces for piano, playable by advanced amateurs. In contrast to WPK I, the ring-modulated sound is separated from the acoustic piano sound by a short delay, creating a groove-like pulse. The tonal or modal approach, in combination with the ‘untempered’ ring modulation, creates a vibrating, energetic texture that invites sonic exploration and improvisation.
