Mouvements Trouvés is a composition for viola and jazz guitar, written for Manuela Bucher and Tom Pauwels. The score makes use of ‘action notation’, except for the rhythm notation. Important in this work is the nature of the movement and the place on the instrument where this movement is performed. The performers sometimes try to imitate each other’s sounds, sometimes each other’s movements, and sometimes both simultaneously. The relationship between sound and movement is central.

Mouvements Trouvés is een compositie voor altviool en jazzgitaar, geschreven voor Manuela Bucher en Tom Pauwels. De partituur bestaat bijna volledig uit ‘actie-notatie’, behalve wat betreft de ritmische notatie. Belangrijk in dit werk is de aard van de beweging en de plaats op het instrument waar deze beweging wordt uitgevoerd. De uitvoerders proberen soms elkaars klank na te bootsen, soms elkaars beweging, soms beide tegelijk. De relatie tussen klank en beweging staat centraal.
