Music Performance Research has published a special issue on artistic research. My contribution is a lengthy article on trends in curriculum discourse and how they resonate with creative and social intentions among the youngest generation of classically trained performing musicians. The outcomes are the result of three years of intensive monitoring, analysing research proposals and listening to the voices of master’s students at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
